Drive-by shooting mystifies Rye homeowner

RYE, new hampshire:

"Several days after someone shot at his million-dollar home in Rye, Peter Clark is at a loss for why someone would do such a thing and says he can't think of anyone he considers to be an enemy.

Clark said the shooting, which happened Friday afternoon, has not only left his family feeling nervous but also has consumed his entire neighborhood with fear. Police found bullet holes on both the first- and second-floor levels of the three-story home and bullet casings strewn all over the front lawn. Between 25 and 30 bullet holes were labeled on the exterior.

Clark said he's owned the home with his wife, Jennifer, for the past decade, but explained it's been in his family for 80 years."

sounds like the work of a drunk to me. someone who was forever embittered by those beautiful homes and waited for the right mix of whiskey and jobless-ness to force his hand below his seat, grab his pistol and fire recklessely...

it's as american as quasi-illegal fireworks...
