in march of 2001 there was a some conspiracy centered show on fox called "the lone gunman." the show was created by the same guy who was behind the x-files. on one episode, which aired 5 months before 9/11, the plot goes as follows: the government intentionally hijacks a commerical airliner, uses a remote control device to fly it into the world trade center and blame "tin-pot dictators" to create war and boost arms sales. nothing too serious, just another september coincidence...
